Frequently Asked Questions

What are your location and hours?
We are located at 4000 Albemarle St. N.W. in Suite 501. We are open Monday – Friday,

9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays for massage upon request.

Will my insurance cover treatment?
We accept insurance as a form of payment, with a doctor's prescription. Each insurance reimbursement differs per individual policy. We will be more than happy to inquire with your insurance company as to what YOUR coverage is, leaving you with a simple copay.

How do I know what treatments I need?
The first session will include an evaluation with a physical therapist. Based on the findings in this assessment the therapist will develop a treatment plan specific to the needs you present in the initial evaluation.

Our Clients

We treat for a wide range of physical conditions from carpel tunnel syndrome to multiple sclerosis.  Our patients come from all walks of life.  Those who have the greatest success with physical therapy are those who engage with their therapists on goal setting and who follow through with their home exercise programs.

Physical and Massage Therapy Associates does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation.

PMTA had been helping Washingtonians recover their mobility and experience reduced pain since 2003. We have been operating from our current sunny office & treatment space since 2009.

Our Therapists offer a wide variety of skills and talents.  We use a team-based approach to your care to ensure that you receive the best care for your condition.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy program is designed around returning each patient to their highest level of functioning: establishing and meeting goals through the latest manual, neuromuscular and orthopedic practices.

Massage Therapy

Massage may be used in conjunction with physical therapy when deemed medically appropriate.  Our massage therapists work closely with the physical therapy team to help you meet your goals.

Massage therapy is also available on a walk-in basis or by appointment.  Each massage is individualized for your needs so that you leave feeling refreshed and restored.
