Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is a dynamic bodywork that blends the power of passive stretching with focused massage to re-energize and provide you with a sense of whole-body wellness. Performed in the traditional Thai manner on a soft floor mat, Thai Yoga Massage addresses the body’s energy lines to help bring you into a state of balance, increase range-of-motion and reduce physical and mental stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

Uses slow penetrating strokes to address specific areas of the body in more detail. Deep tissue work helps to break down toxins where sites of stress and tension occur in muscles, and aides in increasing range of motion.

Swedish Massage

One of the most widely known hands on modalities. This technique uses broad yet gentle strokes to the overall body to induce relaxation. Swedish massage promotes increased circulation and enhancement of the parasympathetic nervous system suggestion to the body to rest and restore.

Myofascial Release

Fascial stretching three dimensionally through superficial layers, affecting deeper structural layers, accessing body’s natural ability to “unwind” unique fascial restrictions; can be done total body or smaller regions.

Trigger Point Release

Specific point pressures at neuromuscular junction sites, where contractible fibers are held prolonged in spasm, blood flow is unable to resume, and pain cannot be broken except by mechanical interruption of spasm site.

Craniosacral Therapy

Accessing the body’s natural healing responses by the system of membranes and fluids that contain the brain and spinal cord, from head to low back, by very gentle manual contacts and energy through each of the individual skull bones, to the sacrum, and other transverse fascial “diaphragms” of the body. The effects of craniosacral therapy can evolve into dissolving of “energy cysts,” places of stored emotional and physical trauma or memories that have blocked fluid flow, harmony, and balance of overall body systems. It is usually relaxing and deeply affects the “hidden” or long existing issues that prevent emotional and physical recovery or well being.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Gentle treatment enhancing absorption of fluids, proteins, hormones, cells and toxins into lymphatic vessels, that transport by this “second circulatory system” to lymph nodes where the cells are processed. Lymphatic Drainage stimulates the immune system and parasympathetic nervous system decreases swelling, facilitates healthy cellular regeneration, relieves inflammatory responses, eases pain and fatigue, assists with fat and cellulite breakdown, relieves stress.

Connective Tissue

Connective Tissue massage helps people with pain, any scar tissue, and shortages in range of motion after any surgery or injury. Very good for fibromyalgia.

Therapeutic Exercise

Movements for building strength and flexibility throughout the body, including whatever is needed as a home program, tailor made to your personal requirements, to recover an appropriately active lifestyle, and to increase the carry over of your treatment benefits. Simple equipment is used occasionally.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient Oriental healing art which has now been accepted by the National Institutes of Health as a legitimate therapy for pain. This technique helps to stimulate circulation and relieve pain by using small disposable needles. These needles are inserted at specific points in the skin and left in place during the treatment. It appears to be painful but is not. It is very helpful for the relief of tension and migraine headaches, menstrual periods, in addition to fertility enhancement and joint pain.

Visceral Manipulation

Treatment for inner organs accessed very gently through surface tissues, allowing release of adhered, malpositioned organs that create disharmony, abnormal points of tension, and imbalances between the working relationships of surrounding body structure and dynamics.

Acupressure

Procedure applying firm pressure to acupuncture points/sites for the inhibition of pain or spasm.

Joint Mobilization

Loosening of capsular and ligamentous tightness surround the joints of the spine or extremities. Done by manually applying selective, rapid movements across a joint are with specific and gentle, yet forcible enough pressures of varying degrees, to effectively “open up” and correct limited joint movements and bony misalignments.

Neuromuscular Treatment

Individual muscle and tendon mobilization, sometimes painful due to the degree of tightness of connective tissues and muscle fibers, yet causing “major releases” to restricted structures. To decrease pain, enhance flexibility increase flood flow, and ease stress for freedom of movement of specific muscles/group of muscles.
